Gregory Hay got his start in this industry as a carpenter 39 years ago. Fascinated by the historic details of building furniture, he started designing and building high-end custom furniture in 1989. Gregory has always had an affinity for solid wood and understands its capabilities in all of its various applications. As a fine wood craftsman, Gregory has taken the time to ensure that he has perfected his craft. His pieces are not just pieces of furniture. They are works of art. Every piece is unique and completely original. It is impossible to find two of a single item. He does this because he believes that the beauty lies in the uniqueness of each piece. Hand shaping and hand planing are skills critical to the process of giving life to custom fine furniture. These techniques are utilized as the basis for his designs, large and small, as they each take on a personality of their own. “When you are able to take the time to dig into every aspect of a project, it becomes more than just a job- the furniture you build becomes a reflection of who you are” – Gregory Hay
